Software Product Manager
Location: Remote
Type: Full Time.
Number of roles open: 2
Job Location: Brazil or Colombia preferred. Open to other LATAM locations.
Role Overview
Altrio Consulting is hiring a Software Product Manager for one of our US-based customers to own one of two core engineering pods within a B2B SaaS platform serving SMB and mid-market customers in a regulated industry.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end product ownership role. You’ll act as the Product Manager for your pod, turning strategy into shipped features in a product-led growth environment where speed, clarity, and customer impact matter more than rigid process.
This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving startup setting. You should be comfortable framing problems quickly, writing high-quality Jira stories, and working closely with engineering, UX, and content to deliver value continuously. This is not a slow, process-heavy role.
You’ll own roadmap execution for your pod while collaborating daily with senior product leadership, UX, and product content to review, refine, and iterate on future feature requirements, prototypes, and in-app experiences.
What You’ll Do
Pod Ownership & Execution
- Own one of two engineering pods as the dedicated Product Manager
- Take accountability for backlog health, sprint readiness, delivery quality, and roadmap execution
- Write clear, actionable Jira stories, epics, and acceptance criteria that engineers can execute without ambiguity
- Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and refinement using a lightweight, pragmatic delivery model
Product Management in a PLG Motion
- Translate product vision and priorities into fast-moving roadmap plans
- Build and articulate business cases for features grounded in SMB customer needs
- Shape in-app workflows, guidance, and experiences that drive self-serve adoption and customer confidence
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product leadership, UX, and product content on a daily basis
- Review and iterate on feature requirements, prototypes, and PLG concepts as part of ongoing execution, not annual planning cycles
- Partner with UX and Content to ensure features are understandable, adoptable, and frictionless
Ownership Mindset
- Identify gaps and risks without waiting for direction
- Take initiative to move work forward decisively and quickly
- Own outcomes from discovery through delivery, not just tickets
What We’re Looking For - 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager in B2B SaaS
- Proven experience owning delivery in a startup or fast-moving product environment
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira, including story writing, acceptance criteria, and backlog management
- Experience building products for SMB customers, where simplicity and speed matter
- Strong interest in product-led growth and intuitive, self-serve software
- Technical fluency and the ability to partner effectively with engineers
- Clear, confident communicator who can operate comfortably with both product leaders and delivery teams
This role is best suited for PMs who don’t rely on heavy Agile ceremony, multi-quarter planning cycles, or process overhead to get work done.
Why This Role Matters
- You’ll directly own roughly half of the engineering execution capacity
- Your work will shape how thousands of SMB organizations operate in a regulated environment
- You’ll be part of a tight, highly collaborative product leadership group with real autonomy
- This is a build-and-ship role, not a documentation-only or process-management role
What Success Looks Like
- Engineers consistently start work with clarity and momentum
- Features move from concept to prototype to production quickly and cleanly
- Customers adopt new functionality without extensive hand-holding
- Product leadership trusts you to execute independently and move fast
If you care deeply about the craft of product management — writing great stories, sweating the details, and shipping real software — and want meaningful ownership in a growing SaaS environment, this role is a strong fit.
